  37. Here's the straight poop about upgrading the toaster, according to my
  38. toaster dealer:

  40. All registered Toaster owners will receive upgrade packets including
  41. brochure and video tpae beginning the second week in July. There are three
  42. options for end-users to upgrade their toasters. These upgrades are
  43. available until August 31, 1993 and are restricted to registered toaster
  44. owners.

  46. System 3.0 Software and Manual -- $795
  47.    Upgrades existing A2000 systems to include most features in the Toaster
  48. 4000 except: real-time animation playback, most new effect modes, color
  49. interface screens, improved video output, and better genlock encoder.

  51. Toaster 4000 Hardware Trade-up -- $1195
  52.    With the Trade-up, end-users can recycle their current Toaster card into
  53. a Toaster 4000. You'll get the new software, manual, and warranty. After
  54. recycling, the card can be replaced in your existing Amiga 2000 or into a
  55. new Amiga 4000. To recycle a card, the end-user will send it to Newtek and
  56. receive ti back in approximately two weeks.

  59.    Newtek will ship the user and already recycled VT4000 card from stock.
  60. The end-user will have two weeks to return their old card to Newtek. The
  61. end-user will pay the same $1195 plus a $500 *refundable* deposit agains
  62. the return of their old Toaster.

  64. The Double-Up -- $1795
  65.    The end-user gets a new Toaster 4000 card with software and a manual
  66. plus they get to keep their current toaster card and get a System 3.0
  67. software manual and upgrade for it. By doubling up, you'll have two
  68. up-to-date Toaster cards and software, plus a rebate offer towards
  69. purchasing a new A4000.
